The good stuff

The Four Lords saga wrap-up hits hard. I wasn’t expecting to care this much about the lore, but the emotional weight of the final scenes? Real. You feel like you earned it. And the Return to Ivalice side story? It’s not just nostalgia bait-it actually fits into the current timeline in a way that makes sense. The new main scenario quests are meaty too, not just filler. One quest where you have to retrace a character’s memories during a storm sequence? That one stuck with me. The pacing is tighter than previous patches, and the combat flows better with the new job mechanics.

The not-so-good

It’s still an MMO, so if you’re not into grinding or joining groups, you’ll hit walls fast. The blue mage is cool, but its ability rotation takes time to master-there’s a learning curve that might turn off casual players. Also, the game doesn’t do much to help new players catch up on past storylines unless you’re willing to play through old content. And yeah, the whole “limited job” thing means you can only use it for a set period, which feels gimmicky. Not everyone will want to commit to that kind of time investment.
