The good stuff

No delays, no login screens, no weird permissions. The interface is clean and straightforward - not flashy, but functional. You can sync multiple folders and connect to other Syncthing devices, whether they’re Android phones, Linux boxes, or even another iPhone. And it doesn’t care if you’re on Wi-Fi or cellular; as long as the devices are online, it’ll push updates when needed. Also, the option to access other apps’ sandboxes (though labeled experimental) was a nice surprise - I managed to sync some notes from a third-party app without exporting everything manually.

The not-so-good

It’s not perfect. The lack of a free tier or trial version is a bit rough - you’re paying upfront, and there’s no way to test it out first. The developer info is vague, which makes me wonder how long support will last. Also, since it’s tied to Syncthing, you need to know a little about how that system works. If you’re used to drag-and-drop cloud apps, this feels more like setting up a private network than using an app. And yeah, the “access other apps’ sandboxes” feature? It’s unstable sometimes. One time, a note-taking app crashed after trying to sync. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to watch. If you’re looking for something idiot-proof with zero setup, this isn’t it.

Bottom line

If you’re paranoid about privacy, own multiple devices, and don’t mind a little technical setup, Möbius Sync Pro for iPhone is worth every penny. It’s one of the few real alternatives to cloud syncing that actually delivers. Skip it if you want something dumb-simple. But if you want full control over your files, this is solid. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s had enough of big tech watching their every move.
