Swimat for Mac - Download

I’ve been racing since high school, so I know how much of a chore it is to keep up with times across different meets. You’re either scribbling them down on paper or juggling spreadsheets. That’s why I finally gave SwimAT a shot - and honestly, it’s saved me time more than once. I just wanted to see where I stood in regional rankings after last weekend’s swim meet, and boom, there it was. My name, my time, my position - all laid out without me having to dig through PDFs.

The good stuff

What really clicked was the real-time results from FIN and UISP. I was at a relay event, and while my teammates were still swimming, I pulled up the app and saw our heat result pop in seconds. No waiting. No asking someone to check. It also shows your historical performance by stroke and distance - like seeing how your 100m freestyle has improved over the past year. The ranking graphs are simple but useful, especially when comparing yourself to others in your age group. And hey, it’s free. Not even a trial - just straight-up free access to the basics.

The not-so-good

But here’s the catch - the full features are locked behind a subscription. If you want to search for specific athletes or races, or drill deeper into your own history, you gotta pay 0.99€ a month. That’s not outrageous, but it’s not nothing either. The app doesn’t make it super clear what’s free vs. what’s premium until you try to use it. And yeah, it’s only on Android - no Mac version, despite the name suggesting otherwise. Might be a typo or just a mismatched title. Also, the interface is functional but not pretty. It’s not going to win any design awards, but it works. If you’re not into swimming, this is probably useless. Don’t download it just because it’s called “Swimat for Mac” - that part’s misleading.

Bottom line

If you’re a competitive swimmer or coach who needs to track results and rankings on the fly, SwimAT for Mac - Download for Android is worth the download. It’s reliable, free for basic use, and does exactly what it promises. But if you’re casual about swimming or expect a slick UI, skip it. The subscription isn’t terrible, but it’s not necessary unless you’re deep into stats. Bottom line: it’s a niche tool, but a good one for its niche. Go ahead and grab it if you’re serious about keeping tabs on your swim career.
